As employees at Nordland Research Institute, two members of out team have applied agent-based modelling approach in, among others, the following projects:
-
H2020 Tipping+ project (analysis of alternative scenarios for Lofoten Islands: green shift v. gas and oil) https://tipping-plus.eu/home.
-
H2020 IAMRRI project (modelling webs of innovation in additive manufacturing industry in Europe) https://www.iamrri.eu/.

LOS Analytics may participate as a partner in research applications or join the ongoing research projects. The later happens when a project of a considerable size and duration produces a lot of quantitative and qualitative results/data. Sometimes, the socioeconomic relationships revealed by the research team are so complex, that analysis with traditional methods (for example, regressions) is problematic. Agent-based modelling helps to set various findings and contexts into a meaningful system, test propositions and present the results in the intuitively understandable form.
